While many girls may, or may not be over passionate about dancing, they will most likely be extremely particular regarding their dancing attire since what they wear not only has to be comfortable and flexible and fit in with the type of dance or occasion, it also has to be fashionable or trendy. In a young girls eyes, not conforming to popular trends only serves to alienate them from the others in their age group.
On the other hand, what she feels is acceptable to wear may not be shared by her parents. This is because girls always tend to mimic adult pop or film stars, many of whom deliberately attract attention to themselves through wearing skimpy or sexually-suggestive dancing costumes. Responsible moms and dads will rightly be uneasy about their young lady dressing inappropriately, either in order to appeal to the boys or just to fit in with the times.
Another deciding factor in the type of dancewear clothes worn will be type of function they are attending; be it a special occasion like the Prom or a wedding, a dance class, or a night out at a disco. Ultimately it will be a matter personal taste. Listed below are a few examples of different types of dancewear dresses which I hope will tick all the boxes.

Disco / Club wear
Disco dance costumes can be brought whole or made up from individual dancewear items such as leotards, cat-suits, bellbottoms, crop tops, etc enhanced with some costume jewellery. Metallic clothes are also becoming very fashionable in this respect.
